About Nina
I’m Nina Korre, an artist specialising in soft pastel paintings. My work is inspired by the quiet beauty of everyday life—the fruit on a kitchen table, a single flower in a favourite vase, or a small object that might otherwise pass unnoticed.
I’m drawn to humble subjects because they often hold more beauty and character than we initially realise. Through rich colour, delicate details and thoughtful compositions, I aim to give these familiar objects a new presence and invite the viewer to pause and see them differently.
Soft pastel is at the heart of my practice. I love its immediacy, its velvety texture and the remarkable depth of colour it can create. Working with pastels allows me to build luminous surfaces and capture the subtle shifts of light that bring each subject to life.
My paintings combine realism with warmth and a touch of playfulness. Each one is created slowly and carefully, with the hope that it will bring colour, joy and a quiet moment of appreciation into its new home.
Thank you for visiting my world of small, beautiful things!
